CECT A380i Dual Sim Touchsceen Smart Phone - Absolutely Awesome By Rae Edwards

The world of smart phones has changed. Today, consumers expect the most desirable phones to be touchscreen. This all started with the iPhone but as of this writing it has ended with the iclones - the phones which were originally meant to copy to the iPhone but which ended up added additional features to the iPhone that Apple apparently never thought of.

The A380i is no exception. Although this phone looks very much like the iPhone and has all of the features one would expect - a high resolution 3.0 inch touchscreen, a digital camera, Bluetooth, a video camera and player, and MP3 / MP4 players - it's innovative improvements leave the iPhone in the dust.

For example, manufacturers of the A380i noticed that many customers were carrying around two cell phones, using one for work and one for personal life. In a light bulb moment, the designers decided to add another sim onto this phone. You can still use one sim if you don't need this feature and you don't need to turn the phone off for this feature to work.

Additionally, a removable battery has been added because one of the huge complaints with the iPhone is that you have to drag your phone to the dealer every time the battery dies. Who wants to be that dependant upon their phone's manufacturer? Better, CECT has added three more speakers and surround sound. The stereo system on this phone will blow you away.

You do not need to be a hack if you don't want to use AT&T's expensive service. The 380i has slide unlock. Just swipe your hand and voila you can now use any carrier you chose. You don't have to use AT&T.

The bonus feature which has gotten the most attention has to be the shake feature of the "shake technology" as the manufacturer likes to call it. If you want to change songs, wallpaper, video or photos, you don't have to look down, press buttons or scroll. You just shake the phone to advance it. The A380 has expandable memory via micro SD card. The iPhone doesn't.

This clone is already very competitively priced at about $150, sometimes lower. This is a steal considering you're getting the most innovative phone on the market today and not being forced to go with AT&T.

The best way to evaluate the CECT A380i is by viewing video footage. The Latest in Smartphone Innovations - WiMax, 4G, and Voice Over Wireless LAN By Corey T Bruhn

The smartphone industry is a cut-throat industry that never seems to sleep. Every time we turn around there's another feature or cutting-edge technology that makes all existing smartphones a thing of the past and has consumers thinking about their next smartphone before their current smartphone is even broken in. Today we're already starting to see what tomorrow's smartphones (or next year's really) will be able to do that this year's cannot.

HTC introduces WiMax and 4G

HTC, frequently the first to roll-out ever-newer and more advanced features, is already pushing its WiMax capable, HTC Max 4G.

Yes, you read that right. 4G! Currently only supported in Russia (on its Yota network), US smartphone users can consider this a teaser for the super-speeds awaiting them in their near future.

The HTC Max 4G is basically an HTC Touch HD with WiMax and 4G. WiMax is WiFi's successor (often termed "WiFi on steroids"), a broadband standard with a range of as much as 80 km and a bandwidth as high as 75 bps. And if WiMax is a better Wi-Fi, then 4G is a better 3G.

Such connectivity and speeds will finally allow smartphone users to watch video-on-demand and live television broadcasts. In fact, according to Russia's Scartel, the HTC Max 4G will be capable of displaying as many as 9 channels at the same time.

Motorola introduces Voice Over Wireless LAN

Meanwhile, Motorola has been working on bringing enterprise users together for a whole lot cheaper. Just like VoIP or Voice-Over Internet Protocol brought real-time, live telecommunications to market for a fraction of the price of a phone call (or a cell phone bill) - sometimes so inexpensive as to cost nothing at all - Motorola is bringing a similar technology to the mobile market.

Called "Total Enterprise Access and Mobility VoWLAN", this product will integrate multiple servers on top of a business's existing telecommunications infrastructure, scalable for as many as 4,500 users. The product suite will also include LAN-capable (really LAN-exclusive) Windows Mobile smartphone for the purchasing company's staff, making it possible for employees to eschew their desktop phones completely in favor of a full smartphone solution.

These smartphones that Motorola includes as part of this package will include Push-to-Talk services and will allow users to have as many as 4 simultaneously active voice sessions.

In addition, the package includes:

• a Network Services Manager - for PBX integration and push-to-talk capabilities
• and a Wireless Services Manager - for centralized management and provisioning

These are just a few of the exciting innovations the smartphone using community can look forward to in the coming year. Whether an enterprise user, a personal user, or both, smartphone users will find their handheld devices only becoming more indispensable than ever.
